There are a wide variety of lupus symptoms, but there are some that you need to be aware of, these are early lupus symptoms that will begin to manifest before you ever suspect the disease. You may feel very tired all the time, there may be rashes showing up where you normally never had rashes. You may start having difficulties with your kidneys in more severe situations. But the most common early lupus symptoms is the fatigue. This affects about 90 percent of those with lupus. Even if you have a very mild case of lupus, it can cause so much fatigue that you will not be able to engage in your typical daily activities or exercise.
Early lupus symptoms also manifest through painful joints and muscles. There are approximately 70 percent of lupus patients who suffer from terrible joint and muscle pain, which is often the first sign of lupus. You may feel redness along with some warmth, there may also be swelling. You will feel this most typically first thing in the morning. You may experience this in both sides of your body, typically in the wrists, the small joints of your hands, elbows, ankles and knees.
Skin rashes are quite common in the early symptoms of lupus. They are a very important clue to diagnosing lupus. The most common rash is a butterfly rash across the nose and cheeks. There may also be skin sores, red spots on the arms, hands as well as mouth or lip sores. The rashes can be red or they may be a raised purple rash.
Some other early symptoms of lupus may be:
1.sensitivity to light which will cause the skin rash to flare up.
2. Nervous system problems such as depression and/or anxiety and headaches.
3.It may cause heart problems. You may have sudden pain in the center or left side of your chest, which is inflammation of the heart sac.
4.Fever is common in about 80% as an early symptom.
5.Weight loss.
6.Hair loss.
7.Swollen lymph glands
8.Raynaud's phenomenon, which is a condition that affects the small vessel supplying blood to the skin. When there is not enough blood, the skin will turn white or blue when cold, and may also become numb or tingly, and cold to the touch.
9.Vasculitis, which is inflammation from the blood vessels that can show up as blue spots on the skin.
